There's more than one way to do this course. I recommend one of them and I'll say which, and why. The other two are real, and if one of them fits you better, take it.
Option one costs you about half an hour a day and no money. Option two costs $27 a month and saves you the half hour. Option three is for someone who already has people to talk to.
Options one and three handle your page and your emails the same way. What changes between them is where your visitors come from.
Systeme.io holds your page, keeps your subscribers, and sends your emails automatically. LeadsLeap is where your first visitors come from - you show your ad to other members, and you earn the right to do that by viewing theirs.
What it costs: no money. About half an hour a day earning credits, most days, for the first couple of months.
What to know first: two logins and two sets of screens to learn. Systeme.io's free plan holds 2,000 subscribers, which is a long way off but it isn't unlimited. It also puts a small "Sent with systeme.io" line at the bottom of your emails, and the only way to remove that is to pay.
Who it's for: anyone starting with more time than money. This is the path the course is written for, and every module walks through it step by step.
LeadsLeap does all of it on its paid plan - the page, the subscribers, the automatic emails and the visitors, in one place.
What it costs: $27 a month, sometimes less when there's a sale.
What you get: one login instead of two. Your ads run around the clock without earning credits first, so the daily half hour goes away. Ten ads instead of three.
Who it's for: someone who'd rather pay than spend the time, or who doesn't want a second program to learn. It's a fair trade, and worth thinking about seriously if the daily habit is the part that would stop you.
What to know first: the course teaches option one, so some of the screens described won't match what you're looking at.
You use Systeme.io for the page, the subscribers and the emails, exactly as in option one. Then you find visitors yourself instead of using LeadsLeap.
What it costs: no money, and something harder to come by. You need somewhere people already listen to you - a Facebook group, a forum you've posted in for years, a blog, customers from a business you used to run.
Who it's for: someone who already has an audience and just needs the list part.
What to know first: there are other ad networks that work the way LeadsLeap does - traffic exchanges and safelists, where you view other people's ads to earn views of your own. They're the same idea, and the quality is generally lower. If you'd rather not use LeadsLeap, I'd sooner point you at people who already know you than at a weaker version of the thing you're avoiding.
If you already pay for something that collects email addresses and sends automatic emails, use it. Don't move.
This course is mostly about what to send and when, and that part doesn't change. You'll work through Module 3 and Module 5 in your own tool's screens instead of the ones I describe.
Start free. You can upgrade later, move your subscribers somewhere else, or stop altogether. Nothing here locks you in.
You'll also know far more about what you need after a month of doing this than you do today. That's the real reason to start with the free version - not to save $27, but to spend it on the right thing when you do.
I'm an affiliate for both LeadsLeap and Systeme.io. Neither of them pays me anything when you open a free account - they pay only if you upgrade to a paid plan later. Which means option one, the one I'm recommending, earns me nothing. I'd rather tell you that than have you wonder.
