ChatGPT – The Most Useful Tool I Use Every Day

I use ChatGPT almost every single day now — not just for writing newsletters and building websites, but for everyday things like recipes, meal planning, brainstorming ideas, and simplifying complicated problems. Best of all, you can use for free.

A couple of years ago, if somebody had told me I’d be using AI almost every single day, I probably would have laughed.

Mostly because I assumed it would have been:

  • complicated
  • technical
  • confusing
  • or designed for programmers

Instead, ChatGPT ended up becoming one of the most practical tools I’ve ever used.

Not because it magically does everything for me.

But because it helps me think faster, organize ideas, and get unstuck.

That’s really the secret.

Most people hear “AI” and immediately think about robots taking over the world or replacing jobs.

That’s not how I use it at all.

For me, ChatGPT is more like:

  • a brainstorming partner
  • a research assistant
  • a writing helper
  • a problem solver
  • and occasionally a very patient teacher

I use it every single day now.

Sometimes for business.

Sometimes for completely ordinary life stuff.

For example, it helps me write my newsletter.

Not by magically pushing a button and doing all the work…

but by helping me:

  • organize ideas
  • improve headlines
  • rewrite awkward sections
  • brainstorm content
  • simplify explanations
  • and turn rough thoughts into readable posts

That alone saves me a tremendous amount of time.

But honestly, that’s only a small part of what I use it for.

I’ve also used ChatGPT while building this website.

And trust me…
there have been MANY moments where I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.

I’ve asked it things like:

  • why something in Elementor was broken
  • how to style sections
  • how to fix spacing
  • how to make mobile layouts work better
  • how to structure pages
  • and how to clean up design problems

Instead of spending hours searching random forums, I can usually get a clear explanation in plain English.

That’s a huge advantage for beginners.

Especially if you’re not naturally technical.

And then there’s the completely non-business stuff.

I’ve used ChatGPT to:

  • plan dinners
  • create recipes from ingredients already in the house
  • figure out what to do with leftover ham and turkey
  • organize ideas
  • summarize long information
  • write social posts
  • brainstorm newsletter topics
  • create outlines
  • improve emails
  • and even help simplify complicated tech concepts

One of my favorite things is giving it random ingredients and saying:

“What can I make with this?”

That alone has been surprisingly useful.

Now, one thing I should mention…

ChatGPT is free to use.

That’s one reason I think so many people should at least try it.

There are paid upgrades available — which is what I personally use — but the free version is still incredibly useful for most beginners.

Now lately, I’ve heard from a few friends that free accounts may have limits on how much you can use it in a day.

I honestly don’t know exactly how restrictive that is because I’ve had a paid account for quite a while now.

But it’s something to be aware of.

Even so, the free version is more than enough for most people to start experimenting and see whether AI can actually help simplify parts of their life or business.

And honestly, that’s the best way to approach it.

Not:

“How do I master AI?”

But:

“Can this help me solve small problems faster?”

Because that’s where ChatGPT really shines.

Now, is ChatGPT perfect?

Definitely not.

Sometimes the answers are wrong.
Sometimes it misunderstands what you mean.
Sometimes you need to guide it better.

But once you learn how to ask better questions, it becomes incredibly useful.

And honestly, that learning curve is much smaller than most people think.

The biggest mistake people make with ChatGPT is thinking they need to become some kind of AI expert.

You don’t.

You just need to start using it for small practical things.

That’s how it becomes valuable.

One solved problem at a time.

For me, ChatGPT has become one of those tools that quietly works its way into everyday life.

Not because it’s trendy.

Because it’s useful.

And useful tools tend to stick around.

See you at the bank.
